Lesson 11 FDREL 121

NOVEMBER 23, 2017
We are reading from Mosiah 4-22. We are required to write an insight into scripture. Today, I will use a scripture from Mosiah 7:19,"Therefore, lift up your heads, and rejoice, and put your trust in God, in that God who was the God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob; and also, that God who brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, and caused that they should walk through the Red Sea on dry ground, and fed them with manna that they might not perish in the wilderness; and many more things did he do for them." I am reminded how God has supplied me with many miracles; as I ponder on the miracles and what he has brought me out of - I rejoice and praise him. Psalm 100:4-5, "Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name. For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations." Sometimes I need to be reminded of what God has done so I can believe and have faith to be obedient to his Spirit. As I look in scripture, obedience to his Spirit always brings life. I find it opens the doorway to miracles. We look to Luke 17:7-10 and how we are unworthy servants if we do not obey the Lord`s voice. Luke 17:11-14 provides an example of the 10 lepers who obeyed Jesus and showed themselves to the priests and as they went they were cleansed. I believe the disciples may have noticed that as the lepers listened the miracles happened. Luke 17:15-16 provides how the leper was extremely thankful and threw himself at Jesus`s feet and praised God loudly. I know I am extremely thankful to God for the many miracles in my life even the many daily miracles of love through family, friends, and community and through Jesus Christ who I know has changed my heart and slowly my behaviors and characteristics to become more loving.
